Application / Usage

Shea butter has a distinctive odour that some like and others do not. If the scent isn't for you, shea butter can easily be mixed with more neutral-scented butter or oils such as mango or jojoba, though this will change the consistency somewhat. Shea butter is prone to crystallization if it melts and cools improperly; if this occurs, simply melt and hold for twenty minutes before allowing to cool at room temperature. Crystallization does not affect the efficacy of the butter, it merely affects the otherwise smooth, buttery texture.
