For best adhesion on the Rust Preventive Coating, apply the primer when the Rust Preventive is dry to the touch but still slightly tacky (has a finger drag) or scuff cured Rust Preventive with 240-320 grit or scuff pad. POR-15 High Build Primer is a single component formula that fills in minor Imperfections. POR-15 High Build Sandable Primer adheres well to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other primed and painted surfaces. This primer can be applied with a brush, roller, and sprayed with a 1.7 - 2.0 tip HVLP setup.
